Creating success is a tug of war between your mind and your heart-your fears and your dreams. If your fears win, you lose. ~ Robert G Allen
Today we celebrate the national sport known as Tug of War. There are competitions all across the globe with a national body set up to govern the 50+ countries that participate.
Tug of War can be viewed as a metaphor for every day life, as it is riddled with potential pitfalls. There is the possibility of being pulled into the mud, suffering from back strain, or potential limb injuries (or loss) from looping the rope around a wrist.
In life we are continually traveling our path. Eventually we come to a fork in the road that requires a decision. Do we go with that which is grabbing our attention, looking like more fun, more challenging and possibly a bit of unknown danger? Or do we stick with what we know, the safe choice that experience has taught us is easiest? Hopefully we go with the one that is right for us.
(Tweet this): Life is a Tug of War, rife with the back & forth of decision vs action. We can only win when putting ourselves in the game.
