Romantic Idioms
If you have a
heartbeat
There is still
time for your dreams

Our heart begins
beating at four weeks after conception and stops upon our death. It is
the hardest working organ in our body and the one we associate with love,
passion, pain and even the passing of time.
Our beating
heart is so important that it has found it’s way into our vernacular and in idioms
expressing our most tender emotions. Everyday phrasing such as “be
still my heart or lose your heart” are commonly
used to convey a heart that is beating hard and fast while being handed over to
a new love interest. Isn’t it ironic that we must lose our heart to show
true devotion?
It is widely
believed that our heart creates enough energy to drive a truck the distance of
20 miles. If we were to combine those 20 miles from the moment our heart
begins beating, to the last beat of our life, it would equal a long truck ride
(bumpy or smooth) to the moon and back.
Therefore, when
you say I love you to the moon and back, what you are basically revealing to
your intended is that your heart has been beating only for them since early
conception and will continue to do so until you take your last breath on
earth. You must admit, there’s nothing more romantic than that!

heartbeat everything was perfect.” ~ Jodi
